The purchase will verify and approve the registration of the independent potential contractor to i-Buy NYU. After approval, the school or unit must enter into a written agreement with the independent contractor before services can begin. The parties use the University`s Master Independent Contractor Agreement, unless the acquisition or the General Council office1 expressly authorizes the use of another agreement. The agreement reached must be made available to the supply as support for the creation and approval of an order request in i-Buy NYU before the start of the corresponding services. The independent contractor is paid for all services provided through creditors and notified to the IRS on Form 1099, pursuant to the terms of the current agreement. 1 Although the General Council office may approve the terms of an agreement, agreements should normally be submitted for proper verification when contracting. To comply with the new nyc Freelance Worker Protection Law from May 15, 2017, the following process must be followed for all fees: as soon as Stage 1 has been successfully completed and the purchase has agreed to include the potential beneficiary of the fee in i-Buy NYU, the beneficiary of the fee and the school or unit concerned must sign and sign the fee or any other agreement expressly accepted by the authorized purchase. Once the recipient of the fee has completed the registration process at i-Buy NYU, a representative of the school or unit must attach the completed and signed honorary agreement to the i-Buy NYU Fee and Limited Commitment form. The fee is paid by Account Payable (except as shown above) within 30 days of the successful end of the honorary activity and registration with i-Buy NYU.
When a school or unit attempts to reintegrate an independent contractor who has completed the provision of services at the university or after the expiry of the agreement between the independent contractor and the school or unit concerned, both parties update the information requested as part of the registration procedures described above, if necessary. In addition, upon receipt of the necessary re-encirulations, as long as the agreement between the parties is not automatically renewed, the parties will be required to enter into a written renewal of the contract or a new agreement on the University`s Master Independent Contractor Agreement, unless the acquisition or the General Counsel office expressly authorizes the use of another agreement. The agreement reached must be made available to the supply as support for the creation and approval of an order request in i-Buy NYU before the start of the corresponding services. The school or unit in question informs the purchases of the honorary activity and the purchase will invite the recipient of the fee to register with i-Buy NYU. The invited nyu and non-NYU courses must also enter into a fee agreement. Jaletza sends this form to the teacher who asked the guest speaker as soon as the application was approved. If the answer to the question (ii) is yes, the request is forwarded to compliance by i-Buy NYU for verification. Compliance reviews the application and informs the purchase via i-Buy NYU if it has approved or denied the application. The purchases will in turn inform the school or the unit concerned of the decision.
The potential beneficiary of the fee is not entitled to participate in the honorary activity unless the compliance has given its authorization.
