Ryerson has a strong history of collaborative collective bargaining and positive working relationships. The Chair will be responsible for establishing partnerships with industry that would provide our students with learning and employment opportunities, including the co-operative education program or student experience opportunities. The individual must promote excellence in teaching, research and student engagement and promote a transparent and collegial academic culture that combines theory and practice in the context of undergraduate and postgraduate training. The successful candidate is a permanent faculty member at De Ryerson University or has obtained employment until the beginning of the appointment or, if an external candidate holds a job at another academic institution, or is considered eligible for employment at Ryerson University.
